Esistono file binari per Windows e Linux (Ubuntu/Debian/Mint/Fedora). Interessante la possibilità del wipe o sovrascrittura del disco e la rimozione delle lingue non utilizzate:īleachBit è disponibile per Linux, Windows e macOS (senza GUI). Selezionando solo operazioni non a rischio sono riuscito a recuperare oltre 11 GB di spazio libero. Per rimuovere i file di sistema occorre lanciare BleachBit da root, utilizzare questa funzione con la massima attenzione. Numerosi i programmi riconosciuti, Firefox, Chrome, Thunderbird, Opera, SeaMonkey, SecondLife viewers ecc… oltre alla pulizia di cache, file di sistema e quant’altro. Sono forniti avvisi su operazioni pericolose o sconvenienti, con disabilitazione facendo clic su annulla. Utilizza Python 3, l’interfaccia scura è decisamente accattivante, sono fornite informazioni in tempo reale chiare e visibili sul significato di ogni operazione che è possibile effettuare. L’ho provato su Arch Linux e ho notato dei grandi miglioramenti. In passato lo avevo testato più volte e non mi aveva mai convinto.

Il più celebre software Linux per queste operazioni è BleachBit System Cleaner. Spesso proponevano operazioni molto rischiose senza dare sufficienti informazioni e guide. Non ho mai consigliato di usare software di pulizia con GUI su Linux perché li vedevo tutti ancora molto acerbi. Molti anni fa quando utilizzavo Windows ero solito pulire il sistema con programmi come CCleaner.
